Please note that food trucks will not be open until 10:00 am, when the festival officially starts. Some may choose to serve earlier.

Chaperones and students should wear visible ID badges depicting the school in case a student becomes separated from the group. Please ensure there is the standard 10:1 ratio of chaperones to children be in place.

Where to park – School Bus/Tour Bus/Motorcoach Parking

Those who plan to arrive on a school bus, motorcoach, or tour bus to the event need to contact Matt Penney, Baylor Parking and Transportation (matt_penney@baylor.edu). Bus parking is limited.  Drop-offs and pick-ups must be coordinated.  Contact Matt Penney with questions regarding school buses, tour buses, and motorcoaches. Bus/motorcoach parking is limited and must be coordinated. Priority will be given to school buses transporting school children and youth.

 

We also ask that the standard 10:1 ratio of chaperones to children be in place.

Please bring what you need for the day, because re-entry is not allowed. Only authorized personnel and volunteers can come and go. This is due to security requirements. 

  • Abusive, foul, and/or disruptive language is strictly prohibited at all times
  • Throwing of any items are strictly prohibited
  • Smoking is prohibited anywhere on McLane Stadium grounds
  • McLane Stadium will not tolerate any form of trespassing, soliciting, peddling, or loitering anywhere on site
  • Actions deemed inappropriate or dangerous by any McLane Stadium staff member can result in disciplinary action up to and including ejection from any event.

Vendors will accept credit/debit card payment only. This includes all food and merchandise sales. Please bring your credit or debit card as re-entry will not be allowed.

  • There will be food trucks dedicated to the VIP area with complimentary food and drinks (non-alcoholic)
  • There will be tents, tables and chairs in the VIP area. However, there is no reserved seating. Attendees are welcome to bring in camp chairs or blankets.
  • The Stadium itself will not be used for the event. The event takes place on the grounds outside the stadium. A map is shown on the home page of this website.
  • There are telescopes in the VIP area for VIP use only.
  • There will be science presentations in the VIP area at the VIP stage.
  • The VIP has great views of the eclipse; however, the entire event will have great views.
  • VIPs can enter the event through any of the three gates: Main Gate, Baylor Gate (over the footbridge), and Back Gate. From there, you’ll receive a lanyard and badge which will allow you entry to the exclusive VIP area.
